Ng Yi Wayn is a Partner in RHTLaw Taylor Wessing’s Corporate Practice and specialises in Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets. She has represented global and regional clients in various industries, including the TMC (Technology, Media and Communication), Education and Healthcare sectors. She spent 3 years in the United Kingdom where she obtained her LLB Law Honours degree from the University of Manchester, before she was admitted and qualified as an advocate and solicitor of the Singapore Bar.

Yi Wayn regularly advises clients on cross-border acquisitions and disposals, investments, restructurings and equity capital market transactions in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. She advises on transactions of various sizes, from seed investments up to deals with transactional value of US$1billion. She was also recently involved in the biggest record-breaking Series C investment in a Southeast Asian start-up.

Out of the office, Yi Wayn is a certified Rescue and Enriched Air Scuba Diver and enjoys moving in extra dimensions in the beautiful yet mysterious ocean – As they say, “we dive not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.”

Benjamin Szeto is the Deputy Head of RHTLaw Taylor Wessing’s Private Wealth Industry Group. His forte lies in crafting structures, solutions and strategies for families, business owners and high net worth individuals (HNWIs). He is a regular speaker on wealth matters and has particular interest in trusts, monetising art, and life insurance structures.

He has 20 years of experience advising HNWIs, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, listed entities and Fortune 500 corporations on a wide range of transactions. These dealings span diverse jurisdictions and include trusts, wealth and legacy planning, investments, real estate matters, acquisitions and divestments, and various deal documentation. ASEAN and international clients rely on Benjamin to separate their business risks from their family wealth.

Benjamin is a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and an author for LexisNexis Practical Guidance Singapore on Trusts. He was called to the Bar as a Barrister-at-Law (Lincoln’s Inn) (1997) and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore (1998). He has been conferred a Master of Science (Real Estate) from the National University of Singapore and holds a Diploma in Financial Management from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Benjamin is an Expert Panel Member of the SMU Pro Bono Centre. Away from the office, he sits on the Council and heads the Fund Raising and Audit Committees of Nature Society (Singapore), a registered charity with IPC status. In addition, he serves as Assistant Honourary Treasurer on the Management Committee of the Old Victorians’ Association and on the Executive Committee of the Catholic Business
Network. He is presently Honourary Auditor of Mensa Singapore and the Founder of a special interest group.

RHTLaw Taylor Wessing hosts its 4th annual ASEAN Summit 2018 with sustainability as its theme

RHTLaw Taylor Wessing was featured in articles published by The Straits Times, The New Paper, Lianhe Zaobao and The Jakarta Post in relation to hosting its fourth annual ASEAN summit with sustainability as its theme.

The articles highlighted the climate action pledging held at the start of the ASEAN summit which was attended by 200 people, including business leaders, industry experts and professionals and ambassadors from ASEAN nations.

ASEAN Plus Business Development Retreat

The ASEAN Plus Group held their Business Development Retreat on the 7th and 8th of September 2018 at the Park Hyatt in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
