The Future for ASEAN Economy: Greening for Sustainable Growth

RHTLaw Taylor Wessing and RHT Academy, in collaboration with our strategic partners, Independent Consultants 1920 LLP, Sustainability Consultants 1920 LLP and RHT Governance & Risk, brought together an exciting, curated programme for this year’s summit with expected attendance of 300 delegates from ASEAN and beyond.

More than 303,000 people and groups signed the climate action pledge to reduce carbon footprint and promised to work towards goals such as making a commitment to recycle, using energy efficient devices and conserving water.

Guest-of-honour, Dr Amy Khor, highlighted three key sustainability trends, namely, the move towards a low carbon future, the growing call for sustainable production and consumption and the growing traction of green finance globally and regionally.

The commissioning of the RHT Rajan Menon Foundation’s GAIL (Greening ASEAN: Initiatives and Leadership) initiative was also highlighted in The Jakarta Post article. GAIL aims to encourage more organizations to embed sustainability into their operating models.
